Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Infection Control Practitioner (RN) to oversee infection prevention programs and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. In this role, you will monitor infection risks, implement control measures, and support a safe clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
Monitor infection trends and investigate outbreaks
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with safety standards
Educate healthcare staff on infection control practices
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems
Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient safety
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Support regulatory inspections and accreditation processes
Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Promote a hygienic and safe clinical environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–5 years of experience in infection control or clinical nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Florida
Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Experience in hospital or clinical settings
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Knowledge of epidemiology and disease prevention
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
