Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. In this role, you will monitor patient conditions, manage pain, and ensure safe recovery in a PACU setting.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
Assess vital signs and patient conditions
Administer medications and pain management treatments
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
Respond to post-operative complications promptly
Educate patients and families on recovery care
Maintain a safe and clean recovery environment
Support patient recovery and discharge processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–4 years of experience in PACU, surgical, or critical care nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Idaho
Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care procedures
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in PACU or recovery units
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong critical thinking and patient monitoring skills
