Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Health Information Auditor to review healthcare records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. In this role, you will audit patient data, identify discrepancies, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Audit health information records for accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Maintain audit documentation and reports
Collaborate with healthcare and administrative teams
Support internal and external audit processes
Monitor compliance metrics and generate reports
Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information
Assist in developing compliance policies and procedures
Support continuous improvement of data quality

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
1–3 years of experience in health information management, auditing, or compliance roles
Strong knowledge of healthcare documentation standards
Basic understanding of regulatory requirements (HIPAA)
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital or healthcare audit roles
Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation tools
Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
Understanding of compliance frameworks and audits
Certification such as RHIT, RHIA, or similar (preferred)
